Bachir Raho Ghalem has completed his PhD in 2011 from Sidi bel Abbes University, and the degree of professor at the University of Mascara in 2018. Currently, He teaches biochemistry, advanced enzymology, industrial exploitation of bioresources, studies of structures, metabolism and functions of macromolecules in biology department, University of Mascara. He is the Co-Director of Process Engineering and Chemistry of Solutions Laboratory, University of Mascara, Mascara, Algeria. He has published more than 50 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member in more than 10 years in reputed journals like African Journal of Microbiology Research, European Journal of Medicinal Plants, Journal of Medicinal Plant Research and others.

Professor Kamil is Director General of Lotus Holistic Healthcare Institute, Abu Dhabi, and Secretary General of the Sheikh Zayed International TCAM Awards. He has held senior roles including Professor & Head at the Zayed Complex for Herbal Research, UAE, and Head of TCAM Research at the Abu Dhabi Department of Health. He has contributed extensively to WHO initiatives on Unani Medicine standards and terminology, and currently supports WHO translation work. He has supervised 34 Ph.D./M.Phil. students, published 700+ research papers, and received numerous honors, including the Sheikh Zayed International TCAM Award (2020) and the Commonwealth Award (London). Professor Kamil is recognized globally for his expertise in pharmacognosy, herbal research, and traditional medicine, and is frequently invited as a speaker, advisor, and scientific chair at international forums.
